I have been involved with industrial networks for more than 30 years. I have been involved in the development of PROFIBUS and PROFINET from the very beginning, whether as a member of the national IEC standardization committees, as president of the PROFIBUS user organization in Switzerland, or as coordinator of PI competence centers around the world. In addition to the education and training on these systems as a professor for industrial networks at the Bern University of Applied Sciences, my activities have always focused on evaluation and troubleshooting on real systems.
